Asunim successfully connects 9MW Licensed system for YBT Energy in Hamal, Turkey

With the 10.9MWp System presented here, Asunim Turkey has now completed the second licensed Solar Power Plant. Another two licenses are currently still under construction and scheduled for connection in September which will then total 37MW total nominal licensed system capacity installed by Asunim. This means that Asunim currently ranks first among its competitors at construction of licenced solar power plants (SPPs).

The impact of stranded investments

Coal-fired power generation in much of the world in the very near future will be a stranded investment, but we also have to start thinking about gas-fired power being stranded in the not too distant future, which will in turn strand a lot of infrastructure, such as gas pipelines and coal logistics.

Asunim Turkey and Akfen Holding Ink Agreement for two 10MW licensed Solar Power Plants

After a successful implementation of Akfen’s first 8MWn licensed system in Elazığ in 2016 and after recently signing another 9MWn license with YBT Enerji, Asunim is very proud to add these new references to its EPC and Operation and Maintenance portfolio.

Asunim Turkey and Ybt Enerji sign EPC Agreement for a 9MW licensed Solar Power Plant

The systems will generate approximately 16,800 MWh per year and is one of the few licensed systems that will be grid connected in 2018.
